Ernsports + ES

Ernsports is a skating school founded by ex-National Freestyle Skater Ernest Wong. The school works towards imparting specialised inline skating skill set and also holistic wheel sports experience to all. Besides advocating an active lifestyle through urban skating, it also promotes family bonding when parents and their kids learn and progress along the challenging levels (like Slaloming) together. Growing from inline skating sports coaching alone to also providing skateboarding and stunt scootering (a unique offering in Singapore), the school further value adds with ES, a retail shopping experience and workshop to fix skating equipment and gears, enabling the ultimate convenience for customers.

Brand Design for Retail

This project in itself contains two sets of brand designs that can coexist holistically visually:

1. Rebranding Ernsports, the skating academy, which takes on a more professional and dependable vibe.

 

2. Product Brand: ES, which requires an iconic brand mark for products like skates and guards. The fun spirit of the ES retail brand is expressed by playing up the saturation to get the adrenaline pumping with energetic and vibrant colours.

The collateral of both sets of branding are designed to cultivate and nurture interest and confidence, especially for young children in all roller wheel sports.

 

I specifically enjoyed crafting the set of level-specific brand emblems, created in relation to Ernsports Academy’s Roller-rockstar Progression Chart. Think Pokémon league badges for students to collect, accessorise, and solidify their rolling bragging rights.
